Bose QuietComfort 2 Headphones
Recently, I’ve been very depressed over my QC2 headphones. The best headphones I have ever used or seen broke on me, and it was pretty much my fault. First of all, if you don’t know what the QC2 (and props to QC3 as well) headphones are or you don’t know what the best headphones to listen to are, let me enlighten you. BOSE makes by far the best acoustic-canceling over-the-ear (QC2) and on-the-ear (QC3) headphones available.
I’ve heard many reports that no other headphone really succeeds at canceling noise. Personally, I have never had an issue in terms of sound. The highs and lows are extremely clear and the sound quality is perfect virtually anywhere you are (even around ambient noise). You are shut out of the outside world while listening to very good audio. Although the price tag is kinda high, the quality definitely is worth it. I would recommend these to anyone, whether you listen to music or just use them to block out sound (at work, in the car, or on a flight). I mainly use it to play on my keyboard late at night.
After being completely satisfied for a couple of years with these amazing headphones, they recently broke on me. It wasn’t as if it was their time to expire, although I do use them extensively. My friend was sampling them and accidentally pushed them too far apart as he was placing them on his ears. Eventually, the plastic had broken apart and I couldn’t use them anymore.
A few web searches and emails later, I found out that BOSE offers flat-rate factory repairs on their products. I was willing to pay quite a lot to have them fixed, but it turns out BOSE wanted to replace them for free. Was it a defect in the plastic they were expecting? I don’t think so, since they were perfect for over 4 years. I think the company really values quality customer service. Once again, another reason why I would recommend BOSE to anyone for their audio needs.
