Bonnaroo 2008 Will Live Up To The Standard

The band lineup for 2008 was announced on the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival Website recently. Tickets go on sale Saturday, February 16th at noon. The show includes superstars Pearl Jam, Metallica, and Kanye West. Also, some of my favorites, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, Death Cab For Cutie, and Rilo Kiley will be performing, along with lots and lots more. For those of you who don’t know what Bonnaroo is, you’re really missing out. It’s like Woodstock, except for the true hippies (not like Woodstock 99). Well, at least that’s the way it has been for the last couple of years. Bonnaroo is held in a huge farm in Manchester, Tennessee for 3 days. It’s a music festival (accompanied by lots of drugs, or so I hear) that isn’t very popular for some unknown reason. Last year Tool and The Police performed here. The year before, Radiohead. Still, I don’t see a lot of media coverage of this festival, nor do I hear about it in mainstream outlets like MTV or radio. Either way, this year’s lineup proves to be highly anticipated and I’m very much looking forward to going. Tickets for the show and campground usually run about 200 dollars or a little less if you buy early. The longer you wait, the more the price goes up until they run out. Yes, they do sell out. So start planning now for June because you don’t want to miss out on Bonnaroo 2008.
